In July 1997, the Private Diagnostic Clinic, PLLC signed a preferred provider agreement with SunTrust to provide favorable banking services to PDC members. The package that SunTrust and the PDC negotiated is very comprehensive. It includes mortgages up to 100% in value with no origination fee, no private mortgage insurance and discounted rates, as well as standard banking services such as checking accounts with no minimum balances, preferred consumer loan rates, financial planning assistance, and brokerage services. This package is only available to PDC physician members and their families as an added benefit of joining the PDC.

SunTrust's offices and ATM's are located in Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and the District of Columbia.

In addition to the extensive network of traditional branches and ATMs, SunTrust has a PDC Private Banking office located in the basement of Duke South Clinic. The bankers in this office are available to physicians for home or office consultation regarding all financial needs.
